We can’t thank you enough.

We put the word out and the community – as they always do – stepped up! Last month we delivered Valentine’s Day Care Bags to the patients on the Oncology floor at Oishei Children’s Hospital.

While there, we also brought some food and snacks for the parent/patient lounge – a small area on the floor where patients and their families can grab a snack or drink, free of charge, whenever they want.  This means quite a bit to the child and the families as you can imagine.

These lounges are not stocked by the hospital.

The lounge cupboards were empty.  Totally empty.

So we made it our mission to keep them stocked. Not just the Oncology floor – all of the floors. We put the word out to the community by sharing an Amazon Wish List of needed items. Boy did the community come through. We received SO MUCH FOOD.

We divided it up, boxed it up and today, we made the delivery.

We brought more than enough food to stock the lounges on the oncology, medical, surgery and ICU floors.  The cupboards went from EMPTY to FULL!!!

We brought the rest to The Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo where they will provide it to families there!  We will have more soon on the work they do there – and how we can help them even more!! (Watch for that to come!)

It’s amazing what can happen when we come together to make a difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! We will continue to stock the shelves – here is a link to the wish list if you would like to help!

THANK YOU!
